ZOOM help for participants
We use Zoom Cloud Meeting as a presentation system both in the forum and for the exhibitor presentations. Here we provide you with the most important information for the different systems.

Join a meeting
Web browser or Zoom Web Client
Zoom Web Client allows users to join a meeting via a web browser without having to download plug-ins or software.
Join Zoom meeting without downloading the app:
- Locate the meeting invitation link in your email or calendar invitation.
- Click the join link to join the meeting.
- In the web browser, a pop-up window prompts you to open or download the application.
- In the pop-up window, click Cancel.
- At the bottom of the page, click Join from your browser.
- You will be taken to a new page.
- Click Allow to give Zoom permission to use the microphone and camera.
- Sign in to join the meeting using your name.
- (Optional) Select the Remember my name for future meetings check box.
- Click Join.
Desktop Client
This access applies to both Windows and macOS systems.
- Open the Zoom Desktop client.
- Join a meeting using one of the following methods:
- If you want to join without logging in, click Join a Meeting.
- If you want to join a meeting with login:
- Log in to the Zoom Desktop client.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click Join.
- Enter the meeting ID and your display name.
- If you are logged in, change your name if you do not want your default name to display.
- If you are not logged in, enter a display name.
- Select whether you want to join with audio and/or video.
- Click Join.
Mobile APP

- Open the Zoom mobile app.
- Join a meeting using one of the following methods:
- Tap Join a Meeting if you want to join without signing in.
- Sign in to Zoom, and then tap Join.
- Enter the meeting ID and your display name.
- If you’re logged in, change your name if you don’t want your default name to appear.
- If you are not logged in, enter a display name.
- Select whether you want to connect with audio and/or video, and tap Join Meeting.
Phone
- On your phone, dial the meeting ID specified in your invitation.
- Enter the meeting ID using the dial pad when prompted.

- Alt+F4: Close the current window
- Alt+V: Start/stop video
- Alt+A: Mute audio/Disable mute
- Alt+F: Start/Exit full screen mode
- Alt+H: Show/hide chat area in meeting
- Alt+U: Show/hide participant area
- Alt+Y: Raise/lower hand
- Strg+2: Read the name of the active speaker

If you are using an iPad with a keyboard, the following keyboard shortcuts are available in a Zoom Meeting:
- Command + Umschalt + A: Mute audio/Disable mute
- Command + Umschalt + V: Start/stop video
- Command + Umschalt + H: Show/hide chat area in meeting
- Command + Umschalt + M: minimize Meeting
- Command + U: Show/hide participant management
- Command + W: Close front window, e.g. the window for participant or meeting settings
Telephone dial-in
- *6: Mute audio/Disable mute
- *9: Raise/lower hand
