Contents / Description
This workshop will provide an opportunity to participants to explore a better way to look for a job than by submitting as many applications as possible, only to get ghosted or rejected every time. The workshop will share powerful job search strategies and participants will workshop and co-create job search practices that lead to more interviews and, ultimately, job offers. Key messages and topics for workshop activities include: Building a compelling personal brand; Growing a professional network; Making your application not about you but rather about the problem you will solve for your future employer; and The value of taking a strategic approach to selecting and applying for open positions. At the end of the workshop, participants will have gained the ability to: Build a powerful personal brand, including a compelling elevator pitch and LinkedIn headline; Conduct targeted research that enables them to focus on the problem they will solve for their future employer and positioning themselves as the best-fit candidate; Focus their applications on positions that suit their skillsets and values; and Leverage their professional network to secure interviews and land jobs. No Prior Knowledge Required; familiarity with LinkedIn is a plus, but not required.
