As a sighted person, how do I guide a blind person correctly? This is a question that is always unsettling when dealing with blind and visually impaired people. However, uncertainty is the biggest psychological barrier to seeking help. Therefore, gain knowledge and self-confidence – in our workshop. In the workshop, the “techniques of sighted support” are presented and also practiced. The “techniques of sighted accompaniment” are known internationally and are becoming more and more widespread, as they can also be taught by blind and visually impaired people. At large railroad stations and airports, the staff of service and assistance teams are often trained in these techniques. The “techniques of sighted accompaniment” are also part of training in orientation and mobility.
