Online lectures
Online presentations are a great way for manufacturers to showcase their products and services to a wide audience and effectively communicate the benefits and value of their offerings. Especially in the digital era, where face-to-face meetings are being supplemented or replaced by online interactions, online presentations can create a more personal connection with customers and provide an interactive experience that goes beyond traditional sales pitches. Recording such presentations ensures that the value of your presentation is not limited to a one-off event. Instead, the content can be used long-term to continually reach customers and serve as a resource for your sales team.
In addition, online presentations enable a consistent brand presentation, as all participants experience the same presentation. This contributes to branding and can help you stand out from the competition. In the long term, the recordings of the presentations create valuable content that can be used for marketing purposes, customer training or as reference material for interested parties and customers.
Basic implementation information
Your trade fair package includes the option of giving one or more online presentations. The decision as to whether and how you use this option is entirely up to you. If you would like to hold an online lecture during SightCity, you can use our reservation system to set the desired date yourself. If you decide to use it and book an appointment, we will announce this lecture, including the ZOOM access data, on our website and via our social media channels.
The streaming technology provided for your presentations is ZOOM, a widely used and user-friendly video conferencing system. The advantages of ZOOM lie in its high reliability, ease of use and the wide range of functions it offers – such as screen sharing, recording options and interactive elements such as surveys and chats. In addition, ZOOM enables access via various platforms so that participants can take part via both computers and mobile devices, ensuring that your presentation is widely accessible.
The presentations will take place every 30 minutes from 10:00 a.m. on the days of the event. The last lecture is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 17:00 and Fridays at 15:00. In order to cover a wide range of topics, it is possible for a maximum of two presentations to run simultaneously in one time slot. Two German presentations can take place at the same time, but not two English presentations.
Please note that there is no entitlement to special time slots when reserving lecture times. You can select and reserve your preferred times in the booking system as long as they are available. If a time slot is already fully booked with two lectures, it is necessary for you to choose another date for your lecture.
Procedure for an online exhibitor presentation
Access and preparation
You will receive your access data about two weeks before the trade fair. As a presenter, please log in 15 minutes before the start and choose a recognizable name so that our staff can identify you.
If you require a test appointment in the run-up to the trade fair, please contact us.
Duration and interaction
The planned duration of your presentation is 60 minutes, including a question and answer session. If you finish earlier or if the discussion is extended, please adjust the duration accordingly, taking into account the participants’ subsequent appointments.
Of course, ZOOM also has the function of a chat system in which the audience can leave their questions during the presentation, for example. However, you can decide for yourself whether you want to offer this function or not.
Technology
A SightCity employee will transfer the hosting rights to you approx. 15 minutes before your presentation and briefly explain the most important functions to you. As our employee will then leave the presentation and you will be on your own, we recommend that you conduct the online presentation with at least 2 people, one presenter and one person responsible for the technology.
Furthermore, the presentation is automatically recorded. If you do not want this, you can deactivate the function yourself.
Post-processing and use of the recordings
After your presentation, the recordings are automatically saved and added to the exhibitor page so that your customers have the opportunity to view the released recordings again. If you do not want your presentation to be recorded, you can deactivate this function at the start of the meeting. The recordings of your presentations are a valuable resource that you can use for subsequent marketing activities. After the event, you will receive a link to download the recording, which you can use for your communication measures or make available to your customers as an additional service.
