The diagnosis and treatment of vision and hearing in people with hearing and visual impairments/deafblindness, as well as in people who have not yet been able to have their distant senses tested due to complex additional impairments, poses particular organizational, technical, and personnel challenges. These challenges have not yet been addressed, or have only been addressed inadequately. GaViD-Sinne, a project funded by the Joint Federal Committee (funding code: 01NVF23101), aims to close this existing gap in the German healthcare system. In this presentation, you will learn more about the background and objectives of the project, as well as the specific treatment process and how affected individuals and their caregivers can benefit from this service, which is unique in Germany.
