Contents / Description
The concept of shared decision making stands for modern communication between patients and medical professionals. It is a model in which doctors discuss medical decisions with patients and make them together. The aim of shared decision making is for both sides to talk to each other on an equal footing and share responsibility for the decision. The concept presents challenges for doctors and at the same time offers new opportunities for treatment.
