Taster introduction to sailing with a “knot lesson”. Demonstration and learning of “everyday” knots. Introduction: Introduction; information on the topic, what knots are there? What are they used for? Feeling the lines and the finished knots, allocation to tables, short introduction Learning 1 – 3 (max.) knots; method: feeling and describing the individual steps, repetitions, trying out under supervision, independent execution For online participants: Presentation of a simple knot demonstrated separately by a sailing instructor with description and repetition. Possibility to learn the knot on the screen. Possibility to ask questions or sailing instructors report from their wealth of experience (depending on the time available).

The sailing instructors at BFS Berlin-Brandenburg have over 30 years of experience in inclusive sailing training. As certified instructors, they have brought hundreds of visually impaired people safely onto the water and share their expertise in a unique combination of nautical skills and disability-specific didactics.
