The BFS e.V. is a self-help organisation. We work for all visually impaired people, regardless of their type of vision problems and the impacts on the sight. We offer sight loss advice, practical and emotional support, exchange of experience and contact opportunities.

Our organisation provides expert information, training and advice to all aspects of sight loss. We show you which products can improve your day-to-day life and how to live well with sight loss. Our trainings are on topics as technology and useful products, accessibility or eye health.

Our workshops für parentes of blind or partially sighted children include information to help them understand their child´s situation, learn about aspects of sight loss an get support and guide from other parents. In other workshops visual impaired people learn how to cope with their sight loss and how to manage their life with sight loss.

Workshops for children and young people
For visually impaired or blind children and young adults we offer various leisure activities and workshops. Sports play an important part but there is a lot more, e.g. group acitivities, exciting excursions, finding new friends and more – so come and take part.

Visus is published four times a year and is available as magazine, CD or download from our homepage. Members get a free copy.
