As a speaker, SightCity 2026 offers you a unique platform to share your expertise with a highly interested audience. Whether innovation, best practice or inspiring impulses – we are looking for exciting presentations for our five thematic live stages.

Focal points: Medicine, rehabilitation, associations & organisations, educational institutions, special topics
Lecture languages: German
Example topics:
- New therapeutic approaches in ophthalmology
- Rehabilitation concepts and successes

- Legal innovations and social benefits
Format: Open to all visitors on site & online, no registration required

Focal points: Inclusive game worlds – analogue and digital
Lecture languages: German & English
Example topics:
- Accessible video games and gaming technologies
- Including board games and tactile play experiences
- Gaming as social participation
- Development of accessible games
- E-sports for blind and visually impaired players
Format: Open to all visitors on site & online, no registration required

Focal points: Sports programmes, clubs and everything to do with music
Lecture languages: German & English

- Sports for the blind and inclusive sports programmes
- Club work and sports promotion
- Music therapy and musical education
- Accessible musical instruments and technologies
- Concert formats and cultural participation
Format: Open to all visitors on site & online, no registration required

Focal points: Further training in the world of work and leisure
Lecture languages: German & English
Example topics:
- For those affected: Assistive technologies in the workplace, leisure activities, everyday skills
- For specialist audiences: digital accessibility, inclusive workplace design, accessible marketing, web design for blind users
Special feature: Participants must register in advance. Closed format during the lecture times
Format: Registration required for on-site & online participation, closed event on site
Important information for your application
Checklist for your submission:
- Form of submission: All applications will only be accepted via the following form.
- Target group orientation: All presentations (except for special workshops) must be primarily aimed at blind and visually impaired people and/or their accompanying persons as a target group.
- No duplication with exhibitor presentations: If you or your organisation are an exhibitor at SightCity: Please do not submit any topics that you already cover in your online exhibitor presentations.
- Exhibitor status not required: You do not have to be an exhibitor to participate as a speaker.
- Time preferences: Please indicate your preferred time slots or “NoGo” times.
- Expert panel decides: A panel of experts compiles the final stage programmes from all submissions.
