Digital accessibility has long offered all the technical possibilities – yet in many places, thinking in terms of signs, steps, and tactile surfaces still dominates. Why do we naturally use smartphones for orientation outdoors, while clinging to old structures indoors? The presentation highlights this contradiction between innovation and habit. It shows why those who live accessibility often unintentionally slow down its progress – and how digital systems enable true inclusion: compliant, cost-efficient, and immediately usable. An impetus for decision-makers who want to recognize that true participation begins where information is available to everyone – not just those with candles in their hands.
