Mini routines for everyday life on the sofa – how to exercise without your inner couch potato noticing: This practical, hands-on workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to get more exercise in their everyday life but has had little or no access to sports so far. “Living Room Fitness” shows that training does not have to be strenuous or time-consuming – and, above all, that you can become fitter, more stable, and healthier step by step, even without a gym or sports equipment. The focus is on very simple, guided exercises that can be performed while sitting or standing and are perfect for blind and visually impaired people, as they are clearly and audibly instructed. The workshop conveys three key messages: First, that everyone – regardless of fitness level, age, or motivation – can meaningfully integrate exercise into their everyday lives. Second, that small, easy-to-implement routines lead to noticeably better stability, mobility, and coordination in the long term. And thirdly, that health and physical well-being are not achieved through sporadic peak performance, but through regular, low-threshold activity. Participants have the opportunity to try out simple exercises in a safe environment that they can easily replicate in their living room. These include gentle mobilization exercises, balance and coordination exercises, and small strengthening movements that can be performed without any sporting experience. The aim is to break down inhibitions, create a sense of achievement, and motivate participants to view exercise as a natural part of their daily routine—without pressure, without perfection, but with fun and real added value for their own health. No prior knowledge is necessary. The workshop is designed so that even those who are completely uninterested in sports and people with little confidence in exercise can participate directly. Each exercise is explained step by step and is safe, low-threshold, and relevant to everyday life.
