Patronage and mayoral visit to SightCity 2024
SightCity 2024 is under the special patronage of Lord Mayor Josef, who is thus reaffirming his commitment to people with visual impairments and to inclusion in society. In this context, the Mayor of Frankfurt, Ms. Eskandari-Grünberg, will also visit and honour the world’s largest trade fair for visual aids. The support from the city leadership of Frankfurt am Main is an important sign of recognition and promotion of the concerns of people with visual impairments.

Round table discussion on Braille at SightCity 2024
The working group on Braille of the German Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBSV), in cooperation with the European Blind Union (EBU), is planning a special round of talks on the fringes of the upcoming SightCity and invites visitors to take part in the discussions.

SightCity 2024 surpasses itself by introducing the new international symposium “Smart Mobility” in addition to the established SightCity Forum. SightCity Forum 2024
The SightCity Forum 2024 will focus on topics such as the socio-political foundations of deafblindness and hearing impairment, new treatment methods for genetic eye diseases and access to ophthalmologic rehabilitation. The presentations by renowned experts and speakers offer participants valuable insights into current research and developments. Moderated discussion rounds offer opportunities for direct feedback and exchange, which helps visitors to make the best use of the information.
SightCity 2024
SightCity Frankfurt, the largest international trade fair for aids for blind and visually impaired people, is preparing for its 21st edition. From May 15 to 17, 2024, it will take place in hybrid form: live at the Kongresshaus Kap Europa and digitally on the trade fair website. Once again this year, admission is free of charge after registration to enable all interested parties to take part.
