Innovative tools and international expertise: the 21st SightCity 2024 invites you to discover and network

About SightCity 2024

SightCity Frankfurt, the largest international trade fair for aids for blind and visually impaired people, is preparing for its 21st edition. From May 15 to 17, 2024, it will take place in hybrid form: live at the Kongresshaus Kap Europa and digitally on the trade fair website. Once again this year, admission is free of charge after registration to enable all interested parties to take part.

With over 120 exhibitions from more than 20 countries, the event will once again be a central meeting point for experts and those affected. In addition to the physical booths, all exhibitors offer their own digital exhibitor pages including product presentations on the official website to provide detailed information to visitors who cannot be on site.

SightCity Forum

At the SightCity Forum, a traditional part of the trade fair, visitors can look forward to presentations by top-class speakers from all over the world. A wide range of topics from scientific findings and medical advances to legal aspects of participation will be highlighted. The forum in Frankfurt offers space for intensive exchange on site, while at the same time the presentations are available online via Zoom at no cost.

Digital exhibitor presentations

Digital exhibitor presentations will also be offered as part of SightCity 2024. These presentations allow exhibitors to showcase their latest products and solutions in an online format. The digital exhibitor presentations give visitors the opportunity to find out about innovative aids for blind and visually impaired people, even if they cannot be there in person. The presentations offer a comprehensive insight into the wide range of products and services presented at the fair and help to raise awareness of the needs and possibilities in the field of visual aids.

International symposium “Smart mobility”

For the first time, an international symposium on “Smart Mobility” will be held as part of SightCity. The symposium on 16. and May 17 offers a platform for the exchange of innovative mobility solutions for people with visual impairments. This event is being organized in partnership with the European Blind Union (EBU) and promises groundbreaking discussions and contributions to the development of an inclusive society.

Special guests and patronage

The event will be enriched by the presence of important personalities such as the Mayor of Frankfurt, Nargess Eskandari-Grünberg, who will open the trade fair and lead the traditional tour of the fair. We would also like to thank the Lord Mayor of Frankfurt, Mike Josef, for his patronage of the trade fair. Their participation emphasizes the importance of SightCity in a social context and for the promotion of inclusion.
