On June 28, 2025, the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG) came into force. This law transposes key parts of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) into German law and aims to improve the accessibility of products and services. The goal is to take a significant step toward greater participation for people with disabilities.
In my presentation, I will inform interested parties about the regulations and the current status. I will talk about: Which products and services must be accessible? What transition periods apply? What exactly does “accessible” mean in the sense of the law? What rights do consumers have? How does the DBSV support blind and visually impaired people in enforcing these rights?
