The workshop is aimed at blind and visually impaired people who have little or no gaming experience, or who want to expand their horizons beyond traditional “audio games.”
The workshop will be held twice, each session featuring one-on-one guidance with a participant from the target group.
Christian Ohrens, an experienced blind gamer, influencer, and DJ, guides participants step by step through the game, describing how he navigates the game piece by piece using only the game audio—from utilizing the pre-recorded menu to employing audio feedback and spatial audio cues to understand the game content.
The goal is to help participants learn to navigate games independently, even without special accessibility features, thereby empowering them with a significant degree of self-determination.
