Event dates for the trade fair

The SightCity trade fair in Frankfurt is an unmissable event for blind and visually impaired people and professionals in this field. As the world’s largest trade fair of its kind, it offers a platform for exchanging information on the latest technologies, products and services designed to make everyday life easier and better.

In Germany, there are around 150,000 blind people and around 500,000 visually impaired people. Worldwide, there are as many as 2.2 billion people living with some form of visual impairment or blindness. These impressive figures emphasise the importance of events such as SightCity, which are dedicated to improving the quality of life of these people.

In addition to the well-known forum, which offers exciting presentations and discussions, there are other platforms for knowledge exchange. This year’s symposium is dedicated to the topic of “Smart Mobility” and presents innovative approaches to improving mobility. The workshop stage offers practical workshops on the topics of leisure and the world of work, while the gaming lab stage provides insights into digital and analogue gaming worlds.

The exhibitors also offer online webinars that can be attended flexibly from anywhere. All presentations, with the exception of the webinars, are offered in hybrid form so that they can be followed both on site and online. This enables broad participation and makes SightCity an open and inclusive event.

All events are free to attend, only the workshops require prior registration. SightCity is not only a place of innovation, but also an important meeting place for networking and the exchange of experiences and ideas. It plays a key role in raising awareness of the needs of blind and visually impaired people and improving their quality of life.
