Artificial intelligence opens up new possibilities for blind and visually impaired people. While its use in the private sphere is usually the sole decision of the user, its use in the workplace—especially since the EU AI Regulation—brings with it new obligations and challenges that must be considered together with employers and employee representatives. These relate, for example, to legal, technical, organizational, and financial aspects. The presentation will discuss the framework conditions for the use of AI tools in companies and highlight solutions and current challenges. Participants will receive practical advice on the safe use of AI in the workplace and will be made aware of potential risks. No prior knowledge is required; the focus is on strengthening AI competence and providing practical recommendations.
