In an increasingly digital working world, companies are facing the challenge of ensuring the long-term health and performance of their employees more than ever before. This is exactly where my contribution comes in: I show how digital yoga and meditation sessions, as proven relaxation techniques, can be used effectively in the context of workplace health promotion.
Specially adapted to everyday working life, these are office-friendly online sessions that can be done sitting or standing, right at your desk. The sessions can be carried out across locations in work clothes and without any prior knowledge. Drawing on my expertise as a yoga teacher and coach, I design lectures with practical ideas and interactive workshops on the topic of “Physical and mental health as the basis for long-term success – effective methods for the new world of work.”
The content is based on practical experience gained through collaboration with various companies. The main topics of my presentation are: – Holistic and sustainable methods of health promotion through active breaks in the working day in the form of digital yoga and meditation sessions in a seated and standing position with practical examples
– Stress reduction through mindful movement, conscious breathing, and mental exercises to prevent mental and physical strain – Promotion of concentration and balance to increase resilience, performance, and satisfaction – Reduction of screen time despite the online format through precise verbal instructions and barrier-free implementation based on my own experiences as a nearly blind person
In addition to imparting knowledge and providing practical experience, my presentation has several objectives. I want to raise awareness of the importance of mental and physical health in the workplace. In doing so, I show that digital health promotion is not abstract, but suitable for everyday use and directly applicable. I also break down prejudices against yoga and meditation in the business environment and position these methods as modern, effective tools. In addition, I open up a perspective of inclusion and want to encourage people to take preventive measures seriously before stress turns into illness. Finally, I want to provide concrete ideas on how companies can start implementing these occupational health management measures immediately and integrate them into their corporate structure in a sustainable manner.
